Public Power Scholarship
Electric Utility Training Scholarship

High school seniors looking for an outlet for their writing creativity could generate cash for their continuing education.

Each year, Algoma Utilities along with our power supplier WPPI Energy, offers a Public Power Scholarship and an Electric Utility Training Scholarship to high school seniors.

The Electric Utility Training Scholarship was previously known as the Lineworker Scholarship. However, new in 2010, this scholarship will not only be available to those interested in being a lineworker, but it will also be available to those students who wish to become involved with the utility industry from power generation to distribution.

Learn more about these scholarships by clicking on the above links. You can also contact the Algoma High School Guidance Office or Algoma Utilities' Office.

Algoma Utilities is proud to help in the educational efforts of our community’s youth. Through this scholarship program, we have helped several local students with his/her continuing education.
